Trust & Transparency

TRANSPARENCY BEFORE TRUST.

Donor questions

THE QUESTIONS WE EXPECT.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Proyecto Legacy Inc. is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) public charity. Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donors should consult their tax professional regarding individual circumstances.

What happens if the project doesn’t reach its goal?

Funds raised for the Foundation Site will continue to be used for property acquisition, development, startup operations, and related recovery infrastructure needed to advance the project.

Why housing instead of more treatment?

Treatment helps people get clean — the challenge begins after treatment ends. Many people leave without stable housing, structure, transportation, employment, accountability, or a clear plan forward. Proyecto Legacy exists to bridge that gap by creating a place where recovery can continue.

How will I know my gift made a difference?

Supporters receive updates tied to major project milestones — property acquisition, site development, renovations, program launch, and resident enrollment. Every contribution helps build something tangible: the first Foundation Site.
